Marziali Caffè Orobar
1000g whole espresso beans
blend ratio: 80% Arabica / 20% Robusta
This dark espresso coffee has been roasted in the heart of Rome since 1922. The roasting masters' more than 100 years of experience ensure coffee enjoyment in a class of its own.
Marziali Orobar is a blend of 12 exclusive varieties: Brasile Santos Cerrado Dulce (Natural), Guatemala Maragogype (Washed), India Plantationa (Washed), India Cherry (Natural), Ethiopia Djimmah Jasmine (Natural), Perù Tres Mosqueteros (Washed ), Nicaragua Cavallino (Washed) - Arabica beans
India Monsooned (Natural), India AAA (Natural), Cameroon Selected (Washed), Congo HTM (Natural) - Robusta beans
Of course, each variety is roasted individually and then gently air-cooled before they are composed into a balanced blend.
The selection of green coffees ensures a unique taste experience with intense and complex notes and a full body. The Orobar gives off a scent of dark chocolate in the cup and shows up on the palate with aromas of dried fruits, toasted bread and a strong note of hazelnuts.
Leone Marziali, the founder of Marziali Caffè, was already serving this wonderful espresso coffee in 1922. Back then, coffee was still a rarity and reserved for the upper class. But over time, the Orobar has made a name for itself throughout Rome and beyond.
A real classic, which even after such a long time is still the most popular coffee in the surrounding cafés in Rome. The Orobar receives a clear recommendation from us and tastes simply fantastic as an espresso as well as milk coffee variants.
In 2016, Marzilai Espresso Orobar was awarded the gold medal at the international coffee tasting by the Institute of coffee tasting.
