My everyday Neapolitan. For those not familiar with Southern Italy roasts this, like Musetti can be overwhelming at first. However if you are a fan of strong aftertaste, full-bodied flavour velvety aromas of moka, chocolate with some nutty undertones and you like a commanding presence for your coffee, then Moana comes highly recommended. The lack of robusta means that crema is not as abundant as in some blends, but what you lose in crema you gain in aroma. It is a bit acidic at times (seems to vary a bit between batches) but it is every bit temperamental and complex as a coffee originating from Napoli can be. Just a beatiful arabica this one. Be warned this coffee takes some getting aquainted to, but you'll soon find yourself head over heels. Not for the faint-hearted.

This is the quintessential Napoli experience. Strong, darkest of darks. Leaves a strong, lasting velvety aftertaste. Lovely crema. If you want a strong and aromatic all Arabica espresso in Neapolitan style, look no further. Cannot top this one in my honest opinion. Best of the best.
